First off, congratulations! If you're here, you're probably getting married, already married, or about to start a new chapter in your relationship. Despite what popular culture might have us believe, there is nothing unromantic or even untoward about speaking with a lawyer prior to committing to your marriage/relationship, and in fact doing so is the most responsible thing you can do for yourself. We are glad you're here!

Process of retaining a lawyer can be intimidating and stressful. Our goal is to help you understand the process as much as possible and eliminate the uncertainty - here is the process broken down in steps:

  1. You will need to provide some information by filling out the form below, so that we can get a sense of your situation and what you're looking for. 
  2. The consult itself will be different for everyone, but generally you can expect the following:
    • You will tell us your story, in your own words
    • We will explain the law and how it applies to you and your situation
    • We will explain the legal process
    • We will give you our legal opinion
    • We will discuss your goals and objectives
    • We will discuss and form a plan going forward
    • We will discuss any questions you may have
  3. After our consultation, if you think that we are a good fit and would like to retain us, we will send you a retainer agreement to execute. 

Please answer all questions as best as you can, but if there are any questions you are not comfortable answering, you can skip them and tell us during our consult instead. All information you provide on this form is strictly confidential and is for internal use only. None of the information is shared with anyone. All data is encrypted and secured using industry-standard 256-bit SSL encryption.

Keep in mind that lawyers cannot speak with or represent both you and your spouse/partner. They will need to speak with a lawyer of their own.

You are not committing to anything by having a consultation with us. In fact, none of the steps above establish a solicitor-client relationship. We are not your lawyer until you sign a retainer agreement.
